Artist Statement

The Reciprocity of Grace & Gravity: Notes to Self This exhibition is an intimate look into my mind as an artist/creator via an installation in collage/ bulletin board format. The ebb and flow of “grace and gravity”” — in nature and in the mind — are reflected in elements of poetry, visual metaphor, and drawing. The moon, that great reflector, becomes the recurrent metaphor. I invite the viewer to share my “notes to self” — simple pleasures, silent reflections, insights, dream imagery, moments of transcendence — and — notes of panic, fear, pain, and loss — as I/we come to embrace the natural cycle that is the stuff of life itself.
