Artist Statement
This series of drawings expresses my disappointment and anger with policies, actions, and inactions of the government of the United States and the people it represents. These drawings have allowed me to externalize deep frustration that the values we espouse as a nation and its people are not represented in our individual and collective actions. The Flag Series are large scale (8’x12’) drawings in charcoal completed in 2007 and 2008.
